Second year BA (Hons) Design for Branded Spaces students took part in the Emergence exhibition which ran 14th September – 19th October 2019 as part of the internationally acclaimed London Design Festival. The students showcased a live project, a collaboration with MUZA, the National Museum of Art in Malta and Heritage Malta’s flagship project for Valletta’s capital city of culture title in 2018.

How can the Museum address the future of environmental challenges? BA (Hons) Design for Branded Spaces students collaborated with MUZA to respond to design a series of participatory three-dimensional installations that responded to the gallery spaces and collection in the Museum to highlight issues of global warming in Malta. To gain insights on the Museum collection, gallery spaces and develop the design of site specific interventions, the students spent 4 days in Malta working in the Museum and hosting a workshop with participatory activities for staff and visitors.
